EUROPEAN MISSILE DEFENSE SYSTEM AND FEATURES OF INTERNATIONAL SECURITY

Abstract

International security means "the stability of international relations, which ensures the stability of development, the sovereignty and independence of all subjects of the international community". In addition, the concept of "international security" was still formulated in the United Nations Charter, where one of the goals of the United Nations is defined as: "maintaining international peace and security and for this purpose taking effective collective measures to prevent and eliminate threats to peace."

The US anti-missile defense system in Europe is mainly aimed at neutralizing the future threat from Russia, although the US officially declares that these systems are aimed at countering the terrorist threat. Therefore, the European anti-missile defense system should be considered in the context of global security.
