Abstract

The accumulated experience in the field of political cooperation of the states of the Eurasian region provides an opportunity to use the existing experience in the formation of the structure of the future Eurasian Union. The existence of the mechanisms developed within the framework of the organization of the collective security agreement also provides an opportunity to draw an analogy with one of the "three pillars" of the European Union - cooperation in the field of foreign policy (common foreign policy and security policy).
In the process of Eurasian integration, the possibility of using a multi-format model is revealed. There is an attempt to use the example of the European Union as well. In some cases this is done successfully. Nevertheless, Eurasian integration is distinguished by some specific features, among which the Russian factor is worth noting. If the European Union was created from several entities with equal opportunities, in the case of Eurasia, Russia clearly has an advantage compared to the rest of the participants.
