Editorial policy for the international scientific journal “Historical Verticals”

1. General Provisions
a. The international scientific journal "Historical Verticals" is published once a year;
b. The journal covers the topics such as social, humanitarian, engineering, natural sciences
and many more;
c. The journal is an open access publication, implying that its content is fully available to users without any additional fees or registration. Users are free to access, download, copy, distribute, print, search for or refer to the texts of the papers or use them for any other lawful purpose without the prior consent of the publisher or the authors, in accordance with the terms of the Creative Commons License defined by the Editorial Policy (see Copyright Issue).
2. Types of Papers to Be Published in the Journal
a. The international scientific journal "Historical Verticals" publishes the papers of the following type:
✓ Academic paper;
✓ Scientific article.
3. Rules for Selecting the Articles for the Journal
The papers to be published in the journal are selected:
By directly submitting the paper to the Editorial Board or editor.
4. The Rule for Directly Submitting the Paper
a. The author must submit the paper to the Editorial Board via the following e-mail address: defenseandscience@eta.edu.ge. The paper must include the name and surname, the position held, and the scientific degree of the author/authors as well as the abstract and keywords that ensure the classification of the articles according to the topics.
b. The author must indicate the 16-digit unique code of Orcid in the paper
c. The authors of the papers selected by the editor will be sent a confirmation notice by e-mail (defenseandscience@eta.edu.ge) and the author/authors are obliged to submit the paper by e-mail before the submission deadline expires.
d. The author must submit the finished, technically and linguistically satisfactory text to the editor.
e. The Editorial Board will not consider the publication of a paper that is not written in accordance with the journal requirements.
5. On Plagiarism
a. Plagiarism is not allowed in papers to be published in the journal and the author/authors must provide accurate and correct citation of the sources provided in the paper;
b. All papers submitted for publication in the journal are checked for plagiarism in a special software program called Turnitin;
c. Coincidences detected by the program are individually evaluated by the editor to
establish their correctness;
d. If the program detects more than 10% of plagiarism, the author is notified by e-mail (defenseandscience@eta.edu.ge) about the detection of plagiarism and he/she is required to provide an explanation and correction, and no more than 5 (five) working days are allocated for this; ff the author refuses to provide explanation, the paper will not be considered for publication.
6. Paper Selection Rule
a. In the absence of plagiarism, the editor selects the papers and presents them to the reviewers for a final decision;
b. The paper will be selected by the Editorial Board by means of a blind review.
7. Deciding the Issue of Paper Publication
a. The authors of the selected papers will be notified of the Board's decision by e-mail (defenseandscience@eta.edu.ge).
8. Content Standards for the Article
a. The paper should aim to engage in the field-specific discussion or initiate a new discussion and it should contain solid arguments and well-founded opinions;
b. Research methodology in the paper must be fully implemented.
9. Copyright Issues
a. Non-property rights for the paper remain with the author;
b. Papers will be published in the journal under the Creative Commons License, namely the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) 2.0 that implies the right to use them for any purpose, with the obligation to indicate the source;
c. In the printed and electronic versions of the journal the issue of the Creative Commons License is indicated and the following visual designation and reference to the availability of the detailed license terms are made at the following electronic address: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/legalcode;
d. According to the CC BY 2.0 license, any person has the right to share, distribute, and reproduce the journal or any of its parts, even for commercial purposes, and if so, he/she is obliged to fully indicate the source and the corresponding electronic address (link) and, in case of changes, to present these changes. The CC BY 2.0 license does not imply a transfer of the author's non-property rights.
